Washington Square Mall
The Washington Square Mall is located east of downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, just off I-465, I-70 and I-74. The mall is owned by Simon Property Group and was built in 1974. After one renovation, it currently covers almost 1 million square feet of retail space in a single-level structure.
The mall is anchored by Dick's Sporting Goods, Sears, Burlington Coat Factory, Macy's, Target and Steve & Barry's University Sportswear, but there are other 75 shops and services here, including Aeropostale, Gap, GapKids, Bath & Body Works, B. Dalton Bookseller, Claire's, Finish Line, GameStop, and Kay Jewelers. Although this mall does not have a food court, there are 8 restaurants and eateries with national and international cuisine. During weekdays and on Saturday, the mall is open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. On Sunday it is open from noon to 6:00 p.m.
This super-regional mall offers free parking and stroller rental for families with children. There are shops meeting more upscale standards but there are stores with affordable prices, too, making the mall accessible for people with a wide range of incomes. In addition to these, there have been no notable security incidents in the recent past.
Those who want to take a break from shopping can see a movie in the 16-screen Kerasotes theatre or can visit the surrounding area. Morning Star Golf Club, Paul Ruster Park, and maple Creek Country Club are in the proximity of this mall.
